Some things you might like to know:

What can I expect when working with you?
I am a professional who takes pride in doing the best job possible every time.  Words used to describe me include:  detail-oriented, problem-solver, organized, great sense of humor.  My Code of Ethics sums up how I operate my business.

What kinds of assignments do you handle?
I am a B2B specialist providing content marketing materials specifically for the accounting software industry. While I focus on the areas listed on my Services page, I offer a complete line of copywriting services.  All you need to do is ask.  Please feel free to request my Information Package for more details.

Do you do all the work yourself or do you outsource projects?
I do all copywriting projects myself.  I do not outsource anything.  However, I only write copy.  If design services are required, I can either work with your in-house team or collaborate with a qualified designer from my network as part of our project agreement.

Do you have experience in my field?
Yes, I do.  As a controller and CFO, I was directly responsible for software selection and implementation for several companies I worked at during my accounting career.  Then as a consultant I was directly responsible for implementing accounting software for my clients.  So I have unique experience in seeing the process from both a customer’s perspective as well as the developer’s.

Can you start on my project right away and how long will it take?
This depends on a few things.  I work on projects in the order they are contracted but usually on multiple ones at the same time.  When we discuss all the parameters of your project, we’ll also talk about time frames so that we both are comfortable with the expectations.  I am careful to not promise anything I can’t deliver.  My ultimate goal is to help you meet your deadlines.

Will my copy be delivered on time?
I am very serious about meeting deadlines.  If something unforeseen (like an act of nature) comes up where a time frame is in jeopardy, I will let you know immediately.  There will never be any surprises.

What is your standard process?  Do you require a deposit?  Do I have to sign a contract?
We’ll thoroughly discuss your project’s objectives and scope.  Then I’ll prepare an agreement that we’ll both sign documenting all of the details of the work required.  I do require a deposit of 50% to begin any project and once that’s received with the signed agreement, our timeline begins.

What are your rates?  What do your fees include?
Fees include everything we discuss in advance of the project beginning and that are detailed in our agreement.  They are charged on a per project basis, and a range of fees is included in the Information Packet.

What happens if we want to revise the copy?
Revisions are included as part of the initial fee as long as the original scope of the work remains the same.  If, however, the project changes substantially from our signed agreement, we’ll talk to ensure we are on the same page.

Even though we are in different parts of the country, can we still work together?
We certainly can!  Our modern-day world with the Internet, email, and the telephone makes anything possible and easy.

How do we get started?
One of three easy ways:

  • Send an email to me—I love email and check it day and night.
  • Telephone me—I answer all calls unless it’s during non-business hours or I am away from my phone. But then, if you leave a message, I’ll call you right back.
  • Complete the Request form on the Contact page and as soon as I receive it, I’ll respond with an answer.
